Higham Lane School, in Nuneaton, which is one of the highest-performing state-funded secondary schools in Warwickshire, planned to provide a direct post-16 progression route for its students for the first time. To achieve this, the school required a new facility to accommodate 300 sixth form students before the start of the new school year which was just six months away.
Portakabin(Refurbished) handed over the Portakabin Duplex two-storey building less than six months from point of order to be open in time for the school’s first intake of sixth form students. To minimise any disruption to teaching the module cranage was timed for the school holidays.
The building was provided with large windows to increase natural light to the interior and a brick and bright red exterior finish to complement the rest of the buildings on the school site.”
Ben Elliott, Director of Corporate Services,Higham Lane School says “This building is an amazing start to our school year. The centre is both new and modern but in keeping with our existing facilities. Our staff and sixth formers are really delighted to be working and studying in such a high quality learning environment.”
